  2.                    DISK OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  5. The following extra commands and features have been added to the ProDOS
  6. environment with the program called NORT.
  7.  
  8.    FROM THE "QUICK INDEX" (QI) MENU SCREEN :
  9.  
  10.      - Your selection will be executed by entering the letter that is
  11.        shown opposite that file.
  12.  
  13.      - Pressing Control-C will clear the screen and return you the
  14.        Applesoft prompt.
  15.  
  16.    FROM THE "TEXT TYPER" SCREEN :
  17.  
  18.      When a text file is selected from a menu, it will be displayed
  19.      automatically on the "TEXT TYPER" screen  (TXT files only).
  20.  
  21.       - Scroll through the document using the arrow keys.
  22.  
  23.       - Print the document by pressing 'P'.  Text will be dumped to a
  24.         printer in Slot 1, formatted for 80 columns and 66 lines per
  25.         page.

  27.       - 'ESC' exits to the main 'QI' menu.

  29.    GENERAL :
  30.  
  31.       - The '4' and '8' keys will switch the Ouick Index and Text Typer
  32.         displays to 40 and 80 column formats respectively.
  33.  
  34.    *  - Entering 'QI' or 'IQ' will return you to the previous or the main
  35.         menu. Usually, you can easily return to the main menu by pressing
  36.         Control-Reset to get the Applesoft cursor ([), and then entering
  37.         'QI'.

  39.     NOTE :

  41.       - The DESCRIPTION file in the main menu will not only provide some
  42.         general information about each program on this disk, but will
  43.         provide some instructions on how to run the ones not having any
  44.         guidence in the program itself.
